After the industrial revolution (1750 ) was traditional knowledge related to the production of unique pieces. Slowly mass production became the standard. Within the newly created production proces the designer takes its own place and provides products of a specific design; Thus arose new specialism such as materials science, ergonomics and marketing. To be distinctive, there appear in the last half of the last century words like new, unique, and design.
